Firstly, I would like to express how grateful our Assembly is to be blessed with the many talents our music department holds such as song writers, singers, musicians, etc. As the band director, I have had the privilege to teach the beginner’s band for the last 30 years. Every time a new class begins, I learn something new, or my mind becomes refreshed on the very basics of music. Music is never ending and the more you work at it, the more you can acquire. Our mission is to bless and cause a heart to open and be able to feel and see how God can touch a soul and fill that space in the heart and mind to want more of God and His son Jesus.

If any awards were to be given, this band would certainly acquire many, but our greatest reward comes from blessing the people. We are also blessed for the many Directors to assist at any time – Nick Freeman, Nathan Miller, Jordan Jolley, Rusty Tubbe, and Calvin White. Music expresses feelings of inspiration and comfort to the soul, therefore, we start our service with a band number of chorus to get our minds settled after a full day of diversified happenings. Through prayer, the leaders hope to find the channel that the Lord wants to work in for that service selecting the right piece of music by subject, tempo, or mood, and desiring to benefit the congregation as a whole by setting the tone for the rest of the service.
